Service Rates

This option allows you to charge your users for the services you make available to them.

Where to look for the configuration page:
You will be taken to the relevant settings if you click on the button 'Service rates', which you can find in SiteKiosk's configuration tool at the category 'Plus-/Payment Bundles'/'Payment Devices'.

Charge For Printing

You can charge users for printing pages at the terminals. Since version 6.2 you can set up the fee per page at the configuration page Print / Printer Monitoring.

Charge For Multimedia E-Mails

You can also put up a charge for each multimedia e-mail that is sent from your terminals. Every time a user sends either a video, voice, or photo e-mail, the Payment Module will automatically deduct the amount you specify here.
Regular e-mail messages without any media attachments are NOT subject to any charges.

Charge For Programs

This option allows you to put up an additional hourly charge for allowed applications on top of the regular price per hour for surfing the Web. The rates are not additive. SiteKiosk will rather apply the higher one of the two rates.
    Example:
Suppose a user is viewing a website (zone) that costs 7 currency units per hour. If he or she now launches a 6-currency-units application, he or she will still be charged 7 units per hour.

As an alternative, you can define a multiplier based on the individual day rate. You may want to consider this if you want to charge different rates during different times of the day.

    Note:
Only those applications will be subject to a charge that the user launches directly from within SiteKiosk. However, there are some applications that are launched indirectly with the help of so-called "loaders". Make sure you included the corresponding main application under indirectly launched programs.

Charge For Downloads

This option lets you set up a price for individual downloads. The user will then have to pay for each downloaded file, and the charge will be deducted from his or her remaining credit.

Charge For Recording CD-ROMs

    Requires: WinXP plus CD Burner
Enable the File Manager and allow CD burning. This option lets you set up a price for each burning session. The charge will be deducted from the remaining credit.
Notes and tips:
  1. Professional users might want to employ the SiteKiosk Object Model and the so-called pull mode to put up a charge for all kinds of additional services by means of scripts.
  2. Since payment is due before the download process sets in, the user will also be charged should the download process be cancelled (if, for instance, the maximum file size was exceeded). Thus, the user will NOT be able to retrieve his or her money!
